CITY OF DESOTO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Text Amendment
The City of DeSoto Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the Planning and Zoning Commission’s initiated request to amend Section 10.6 titled “Planning and Zoning Commission Consideration and Report” of the Zoning Ordinance in order to establish that a “failed motion to recommend approval” is considered a recommendation for denial and a “failed motion to recommend denial” is considered a recommendation for approval. The public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission has been set for Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and the public hearing before the City Council will be conducted on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

La Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación de la Ciudad de DeSoto llevará a cabo una audiencia pública para considerar la solicitud iniciada por la Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación para enmendar la Sección 10.6 titulada “Consideración e Informe de la Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación” de la Ordenanza de Zonificación para establecer que una “moción fallida para recomendar aprobación” se considera una recomendación de denegación y una “moción fallida para recomendar la denegación” se considera una recomendación para su aprobación. La audiencia pública ante la Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación se ha fijado para el martes 28 de marzo de 2023 a las 7:00 p.m. y la audiencia pública ante el Concejo Municipal se llevará a cabo el martes 18 de abril de 2023.

This hearing will be held in the Council Chambers at Town Center, Suite A, 211 East Pleasant Run Road, DeSoto, Texas. The building in which the above meeting will be conducted is wheelchair accessible; spaces for the mobility impaired are available.
