Grocery Giveaway: MINT Dentistry Feeding Those in Need

MINT dentistry’s goal is to put smiles on faces–even during this pandemic

WHAT: MINT dentistry is putting smiles on faces by giving food to those in need. Need groceries? Just show up! During this event, 400 boxes of groceries purchased by MINT from Minnie’s Food Pantry, each containing a week’s worth of food, will be given away. People can simply line up in their vehicles to receive a box, and a (touch-free) message of hope from the volunteers from MINT dentistry. Each box contains a week’s worth of meals and includes non-perishable items like spaghetti, rice, peanut butter, canned goods and more. The box also contains something important for a healthy smile: a full-size tube of toothpaste from MINT dentistry.

WHEN: Saturday, May 23, 2020, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., rain or shine!
WHERE: Parking lot of MINT dentistry Cedar Hill
105 E. Belt Line Rd. #900, Cedar Hill, TX 75104

WHO: MINT dentistry founder Dr. Field Harrison and his wife, Sabrina Harrison, will be volunteering alongside 30 of their employees and other volunteers. Dr. Harrison and Sabrina are happy to answer any questions you have about this donation.

WHY: Dr. Harrison and Sabrina have been shocked at seeing reports on the news about all the people who have lost jobs and are hungry due to this pandemic. They decided immediately that they needed to help. They devised a plan for MINT dentistry to fund grocery giveaways from Minnie’s Food Pantry at MINT dentistry offices.

WHAT ELSE: MINT dentistry is also committed to helping the community during regular business hours through offering excellent dental care. For every patient who comes in to get their teeth cleaned, MINT dentistry donates a mask to a healthcare worker, in addition to giving the patient his or her own mask to keep. Dr. Harrison encourages everyone to continue their regular dental check-ups because teeth cleaning is one of the best things you can do for your immune system.

MORE: Dr. Field Harrison is passionate about taking people out of pain—whether that’s dental pain, spiritual pain, mental pain, loss of dignity, or financial pain. Even before he graduated from dental school, Dr. Harrison was traveling to Romania with other doctors and dentists to end a village’s suffering with tooth and jaw pain, and also volunteering in a clinic offering free dental care in South Dallas. Since founding MINT dentistry with the conviction that outstanding dental care should be affordable to everyone, Dr. Harrison continues to give back, including providing free dental care to soldiers who’ve suffered grievous tooth and jaw injuries in combat. Dr. Harrison and his wife, Sabrina, are devout Christians who welcome those of all faiths. Many organizations are the beneficiary of the Harrisons’ generosity.
