At the July 12 Board meeting, Midlothian ISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved Adam Henke as the principal of Mt. Peak Elementary, Darin Kasper as the deputy superintendent, Aaron Williams as the executive director of leadership, and Lewis Wynn as the director of technology.
“Midlothian ISD continues to be a fantastic place for students to grow, and we are excited to welcome everyone to their new roles here,” Dr. Jo Ann Fey, Superintendent of Schools, said. “I look forward to seeing the relationships each person will foster with our students, parents, teachers, principals and staff. Together, we will continue inspiring excellence and leadership in our Midlothian family.”
Adam Henke has 21 years of public education experience, serving students as a business teacher, computer applications teacher and physical education teacher for a total of 12 years. He joined Midlothian ISD in 2016 as the assistant principal of Heritage High School, and in 2018 he became the assistant principal of Mt. Peak elementary. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and his master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University.
“I have been blessed to be a part of the Mt. Peak Elementary family for the past three years as our assistant principal, and I have seen what an amazing school it is,” Mr. Henke said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the campus as principal. It has been a joy building relationships with the Mt. Peak students, teachers, and families, and I am excited to build upon those relationships as we continue to inspire excellence in our community! I am looking forward to an amazing school year!”
Midlothian ISD Deputy Superintendent- Darin Kasper
Darin Kasper has 29 years of public education experience, beginning his career as a high school teacher and serving several districts in Texas. He first served in a leadership position in Southwest ISD as assistant principal and vice principal of Southwest High School. He is currently the principal of Frances R. Scobee Middle School in SWISD, a position he has held for 10 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University and his master’s degree from Texas A&M University – Kingsville.
“I am very excited to be joining this incredible team and moving my family to this wonderful community,” Mr. Kasper said. “The growth and expansion in the coming future will provide endless opportunities for our students. I am honored to be a part of this exciting new chapter for MISD.”
Executive Director of Leadership Aaron Williams
Aaron Williams has 11 years of public education experience, beginning his career in Mabank ISD. He has served as an assistant director of bands, advanced academics and fine arts coordinator, associate principal and director of advanced academics. He joined Midlothian ISD in 2020 as our coordinator of math, fine arts & accountability. He received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, his master’s degree in educational leadership from Stephen F. Austin University and his doctor of education from Johns Hopkins University.
“Working directly with campus leaders across MISD as a thought-partner provides an opportunity to support professional growth and leadership development and this work directly contributes toward our collective goal of continually improving student outcomes,” Dr. Williams said. “I am very excited for this opportunity to serve Midlothian ISD in a new and innovative way.”
Director of Technology- Lewis Wynn
Lewis Wynn brings more than 20 years of information technology experience to MISD. He has served three previous school districts and Texas A&M University in their technology departments, successfully overseeing their infrastructure and operations functions. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
“I am excited to be joining the Midlothian ISD technology services team as the new director of technology,” Mr. Wynn said. “I will be joining a very talented group and I am looking forward to adding my experience to the mix to continue serving the staff and students at MISD. I am grateful for the confidence that Leslie Garakani has placed in me to help lead the district as we continue to grow and excel.” #MISDProud
