Duncan Switch Street Market

For two years running, on every third Saturday in Duncanville, the Duncan Switch Street Market, sponsored by the Duncanville Chamber, is held on Main Street.

On Saturday, June 18th, the market kicked off the summer with music by saxophonist Marquise Jones. There were lots of pop-up tents with vendors selling art, crafts, and food. Mayor Green joined lots of families to celebrate the big event.

The band Savoy Swing played to kick-off the Duncanville Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series Music in the Park. On June 25th at 7:30 pm, Gospel music with CM3 and other bands will play for your pleasure. July 16th is Jazz night with Savoy Swing and 3 other groups. On August 20th, R&B will be the entertainment with music provided by Vante and other performers. All Summer Concert Series events will be held at Armstrong Park, 100 James Collins Boulevard, starting at 7:30 pm.

Named after the railroad switching tracks and train depot that helped found the city, the Duncan Switch Street Market is held on the third Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the intersection of Main and Center Streets in Downtown Duncanville.

Shoppers can browse resell items, arts, crafts, purchase food and experience family friendly fun. Vendors interested in getting a booth at the Duncan Switch Street Market, should call the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce at (972)780-4990 to get a vendor application emailed, or you can download one on the website.
