NOTICE TO BIDDERS SOUTHERN FORCE MAIN
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Secretary, City Hall, 321 North Main Street, Hutchins, Texas 75141 until 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 and then publicly opened and read, for furnishing all labor, material and equipment, and performing all work required for the Southern Force Main. This includes, but not limited to 365 L.F. of 30-inch HDPE force main, 9,165 L.F. of 18-inch HDPE force main, two (2) 18-inch plug valves, four (4) 18-inch gate valves and five (5) 3-inch air/vacuum valves.
Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier’s or certified check upon a national, state bank or savings and loan in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City of Waxahachie, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance bond and payment bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract.
The successful bidder must furnish a Performance bond, a Material and Labor Payment Bond, and a 2-year Maintenance Bond, all upon the form provided in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety or other sureties acceptable to the Owner.
The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any formality in bids received.
Plans, specifications and bidding documents may be downloaded from Civcast and can be examined at the office of Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, L.L.P. 11910 Greenville Ave., Suite 600, Dallas, Texas 75243, and purchased for the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per set, non-refundable (with notice to purchase one (1) day in advance.
