ORDINANCE 2023-03
An ordinance of the City of Midlothian, Texas, amending the Code of Ordinances by amending Chapter 4 titled “Business Regulations” by amending Article 4.03 titled “Peddlers, Solicitors and Itinerant Merchants” by amending Section 4.03.005 titled “Permit Application/Issuance; Permit Fees and Renewal” to provide amended requirements for the application process and issuance of permits; by amending and retitling Section 4.03.006 to “Permit Issuance” to provide new requirements for the issuance of a permit; by adding a new Section 4.03.007 titled “Permit Suspension” setting forth violations resulting in the suspension of a permit; by adding a new Section 4.03.008 titled “Permit Revocation” setting forth causes resulting in revocation of a permit; renumber Section 4.03.009 titled “Appeal”; by renumbering and amending Section 4.03.010 titled “Application Process” by amending Subsection (2) to remove the permit fee of $75.00 per person and add an application fee in the amount of $50.00 per person; amending subsection (7) to revise requirements for renewal of an application; by renumbering and amending Section 4.03.011 titled “Group Registration (applies to commercial home distribution permits only) by amending Subsection (7) to remove the additional application fee of $75.00 and to add a $50.00 per person fee for group registration; by renumbering Sections 4.03.012 through 4.03.017; providing a repealing clause; providing a severability clause; providing a savings clause; providing for a penalty of fine not to exceed the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00); and providing for an effective date.
