Positive Case Of COVID-19 At Cedar Hill State Park

From the Cedar Hill State Park Facebook Page: We have been notified of a presumed positive case of COVID-19 at Cedar Hill State Park. Out of an abundance of caution, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department made the immediate decision to close Cedar Hill State Park until further notice.

It is possible that this individual has been in contact with multiple visitors. We recommend that customers who visited the park over the past few days be mindful of how they are feeling and reach out to their primary care physician if they do not feel well. Please continue to take the preventive steps as directed by the CDC and local health officials.

While some of the Texas State Parks are remaining open, many have limited their operations. Check the Texas State Parks website for the latest on individual park’s hours.

Also, parks in the City of Cedar Hill has closed all playgrounds and exercise stations.

CITY OF CEDAR HILL PLAYGROUNDS AND EXERCISE STATIONS CLOSED

For your safety, playgrounds, exercise equipment, pavilions and restrooms are closed. Although parks and trails are open, residents using parks and trails must maintain 6 feet of distance between themselves and others, and cannot gather in any number.
