CEDAR HILL—Forget about heading all the way into Dallas to find the perfect wedding dress! Cedar Hill’s Distinct Elegance Bridal Boutique has got you covered. Owner Frances Reed says you can find anything in her shop that you can find up north, without the traffic and the hassle.
Private appointments are the specialty at Distinct Elegance Bridal Boutique and Reed says brides can expect a calm and comfortable environment with friends and family in a private bridal suite with the kind of attention a bride deserves.
Reed’s shop carries world renowned designer dresses, but Reed pointed out, “I am more interested in branding my store not the designers. With that being said, we are very proud to offer our brides wedding gowns that are private, non-advertised lines that are not sold in every corner and exclusive to our boutique.”
Prices range from $699 – $1,800 and that includes not only wedding dresses, but also bridesmaid dresses and accessories such as veils, headpieces and bridal jewelry. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the boutique is located in Cedar Hill’s historic downtown.

Distinct Elegance Sells Dreams, Not Just Dresses
“We are more of a destination. Brides visit us from all areas in the DFW metroplex and some brides come from as far as Wichita Falls, Amarillo and Lubbock,” Reed added.
What better way to enjoy a day with friends and family while finding the perfect bridal ensemble. “Wedding parties can have their private appointments and enjoy their time together,” Reed added.
Beginning later this month, the bridal shop is also participating in the first annual National Bridal Sale Day on July 16. There will be over 100 off-the-rack wedding gowns on sale for $499 or less and even better, “We are extending our sale days through the end of July and the sale will also include accessories” Reed said.
Open in Cedar Hill since November 2005, Reed is a resident of the city and as a wedding planner she said she realized there was a need for a bridal store in Cedar Hill and surrounding cities.
“We are a convenient option for brides in the southwest county area to find current designer styles like they might find in North Dallas and we also carry designs that are exclusive to our boutique,” she said.
Truly passionate about her bridal calling, Reed concluded “Serving our brides is an honor and a privilege. Our top priority is giving each bride that walks in the door a unique shopping experience. After all, finding the gown of their dreams should be fun and stress-free. That’s what we are about.”
